The drama continues in Periyar, where a Kalarippayattu martial arts showcase offer a window into Kerala's cultural soul. A guided walk through the lush interior of Periyar National Park and a visit to the fragrant spice plantations of nearby Kumily round off the tour before the pace slows on a serene houseboat drift through the backwaters of Alleppey.

The journey ends at Marari Beach Resort in Mararikulam for three nights of barefoot ease on the beach, with yoga, poolside serenity, and the chance to explore the remarkable eco-diversity of this little stretch of coastline.
